2025 HUM Behavioural Coaching Programme (BCP)

Are you a financial adviser looking to differentiate your practice and drive better outcomes for your clients?

The HUM BCP is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to effectively coach clients and navigate the evolving financial landscape.

Why Behavioural Coaching Matters

In today's complex financial world, clients need more than just technical advice. They need an adviser who can understand their unique challenges, guide them through tough decisions, and help them achieve their goals.

By adopting a coaching approach, you can:

  1. Build stronger, more trusting relationships with your clients

  2. Help clients overcome behavioural biases and make better financial decisions

  3. Differentiate your practice in a competitive market

  4. Drive better outcomes for your clients and your business

The HUM BCP is particularly relevant given the key trends in the investment and financial planning worlds, such as the rise of indexation, the impact of technology, and the evolving role of advisers in helping clients manage their lives beyond just their finances.

What You'll Learn

The HUM BCP is a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience that draws insights from behavioural finance, psychology, and communication.

The program consists of four modules delivered over four months, each focusing on a specific aspect of behavioural coaching:

1. Developing a Coaching Approach

Understand the principles of coaching and how to adopt a coaching approach in your advisory practice.

2. Mastering Coaching Conversations

Learn how to have effective coaching conversations that help clients make better decisions and achieve their goals.

3. Implementing Deep Listening Techniques

Develop your ability to listen deeply and understand the emotional and psychological factors that influence client behaviour.

4. Influencing Investor Behaviour + Integrating Financial & Life Planning

Gain insights into research on investor behaviour, learn practical techniques for influencing client decisions, and learn how to help clients align their financial plans with their values and aspirations.

Each of the 4 Modules Includes:

✅ 1 x workshop (first workshop is in-person at Dimensional Fund Advisors in London, the next 3 are virtual)

✅ Access to 1 x group coaching session (virtual)

✅ Self-directed learning exercises and resources
